Ubuntu will not boot on vista 64bit pc.

I downloaded Ubuntu and burned it to a cd. I made a partition in my hard drive for it but every time i try to boot from a cd it still loads up windows vista.The light on mt cd-rom come on so I know its reading the cd but it will not boot/install from the cd

I think it might be the bios dude. You'll have to restart the computer and go into the BIOS and change the settings to where you can boot off the CD.

Bios is setup to boot from the cd-rom first then the usb drive and then the hard drive! I already check into that thanks for the reply

Mmm if your computer boots from the CD rom first, but it doesn't start up Ubuntu, there must be something wrong with the LiveCD. Maybe you should burn another CD.

I made a new copy of the cd today and it installed and is working fine. Now i just need to learn how to add the themes. ive been trying to add beryl but every time it has failed. thanks for the help
