webcam with skype on ubuntu 9.04

ok so i had a struggle to wire up the sound for skype on ubuntu 9.04

which is awesome an OS

i finally got there with an external lexicon sound card

BUT NOW the video will not start in fact it crashes the whole program in a split second WHEN I CLICK ON TEST

I AM USING a trust wb3320x hires webcam

where it says select webcam

the reading says USB Camera(093a:2621) (/dev/video)

ANY SUGGESTIONS????????

thanks in advance i need help here cannot see a solution yet

i hope you will find a solution from the following link. Try to find if your webcam is compatible with ubuntu. Try to make it work with generic drivers

the one i had before trust 3360 simply does not work on linus that i know of
