how to use multiple keyboards (en-us, jp, and epo layouts)

how would i use a US keyboard, a Japanese keyboard, and an Esperanto keyboard at the same time on ubuntu?
sorry if not enough detail new to linux in general.

In general the procedure is the following:
In the top panel go System-->Preferences-->Keyboard.
Click on Layouts tab and then on Add+ tab. Choose the layout you want. It should appear in the window of layouts. Clicking on one of them and then on Layout Options you can tune it's behaviour on your desktop.

You can repeat this procedure to add more layouts.
