Date displayed in logon screen is different than system date

Asked by Arindam

Hi,
Recently I have upgraded from Ubuntu 8.04 to 9.04. After this I noticed when I am at the login window, the time displayed there (bottom right corner) is actually different than the system time (the time I can see on the bar on the top of the screen). How can I fix this?

Cheers!!

Did you restart at least once after the installation?

Yes, I have restarted many times. In fact I am using Ububtu with this setup for quite some time. But have not been able to solve this.

May be try once again to set everything in Time and Date.

Then if your BIOS shows the right date I can't help you. If not then try with changing the date in BIOS.

And you can keep your question opened for the reason somebody else to look at it.

Can you help with this problem?
