how do i select kubuntu

hi i have ubuntu 8.04 on my pc , just installed the kubuntu desktop as i wanted to give it a try.
i seem to be having a problem as i cannot work out how to select it on start up , i have ubuntu on an old pc with medubuntu and this machine gives me the option of which one to start .
the machine i have put kubuntu on starts up and looks as though its loading kubuntu then it seems to go to ubuntu there dont seem to be any options for me to select which one i want, help please.

When you start your computer and you come to the Login screen, in the bottom left corner you will see "Options". Click on that and select "Session". Now you can select Gnome or KDE.
