ttf-liberation error

Asked by David Jones

Every time I install any thing I always get the same error saying "ttf-liberation error" if I am correct that only means fonts? But nonetheless the programs do not connect. The most recent was slypeed and after configuring the server info tried to check email "FAILED TO CONNECT".

ttf-liberation is a collection of fonts package that you will find in Synaptic.

Install them and see if your problem goes away.

Have you tried Claws Mail, from Add/Remove? It used to be called Sylpheed Claws.

Sylpheed is not in Synaptic - that is why I suggested that you try Claws Mail (installable via Add/Remove).

What other programs give you this error message?

Incredimail uses HTML and is therefore not considered secure as well as using more resources. Linux users use Plain Text for email and HTML can be turned off so that your recipient may not see what you think looks "cool".
