Locations

Asked by Rob Frerejean

Hi,

When I click on the locations tab, I see my personal folder, Picture folder, Network, Computer etc.

Is there a way to add something to that section?

Thankx

I'm not sure if you are translating from another language into English but I'm guessing that "Locations" refers to what would be "Places" in the English version. Hopefully you are able to translate these directions.

Try this:

1) Open Places->Computer
2) Navigate to the folder that you want in your list.
3) Click Bookmarks->Add Bookmarks

This new folder should now show up in your Places menu in the panel and in the side panel in Nautilus. If you have too many bookmarks, the Places menu may change and just have a "Bookmark" entry with a submenu. You can also use the
Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks function in nautilus to rearrange them.

Does not work. I can click add, but nothing happens. And if I use the edit function, I can add.

When you click "Add Bookmark" it will add whatever folder you are currently in. This is why step 2 was to navigate into the folder you wanted to add. Are you sure you were inside the folder you wanted to bookmark?

That did it. Get INSIDE the folder and then add.

Thankx mate.
