Tengo Problema con el Arranque

Por favor, proporcionanos el contenido de tu archivo /etc/apt/sources.list para poder ayudarte.

ejecuta en el terminal esto:

sudo bash
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

me parece que el motivo por el cual no entras a synaptic es por que no as actualizado

otra alternativa reinstalate el ubuntu :S por que a veces pasa eso en la instalacion que por obra del kernel no copia algun archivo, quise decir por obra de dios pero puse del kernel, humor geek :S

Gracias por sus aportes trinium y Fritznl pero el problema persiste y cuando quiero abrir la opcion añadir y quitar tampoco me lo permite porfavor de verdad que necesito ayuda, me aparece este mensaje:

Este es un fallo importante en su sistema de gestión de software. Por favor, compruebe si existen paquetes rotos con synaptic, compruebe los permisos y la corrección del archivo «/etc/apt/sources.list» y vuelva a cargar la información del software con: «sudo apt-get update» y «sudo apt-get install -f».

ya hice lo que dice: pero sigue el problema lo que no entiendo es lo del archivo /etc/apt/sources.list aqui no se que modificarle:
