No visible lock on browser when purchases are being made in Ubuntu

When I use to use Firefox in Windows there was a visible lock on the browser when I was about to purchase some item. When I use Firefox in Ubuntu, I don't see any lock on the browser. How do I know that the transaction is secure, then?

Its down in the bottom right corner. If you are worried look at the address bar if the address starts with https:// then the page is secure. Firefox is relativity the same in all operating systems so dont be worried.
