PPA upload fails with 'Connection refused'

Asked by Denis

I am trying to upload to my ppa and get following:

Good signature on bla-bla-bla..
Uploading to my-ppa (via ftp to ppa.launchpad.net):
Connection failed, aborting. Check your network (111, 'Connection refused')

Is it launchpad ftp failure or the errors can be on my side?

A good change this error temporary. You could check the ppa if there are any change.

If I change in dput.cf "method = ftp" to "method = http" I got errors:

Good signature on /home/fit/devel/linux-lpia_2.6.27-4.10~fitpc2.dsc.
Uploading to my-ppa (via http to ppa.launchpad.net):
  linux-lpia_2.6.27-4.10~fitpc2.dsc: Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/dput", line 916, in <module>
    main()
  File "/usr/bin/dput", line 878, in main
    files_to_upload, debug, 0, progress=progress)
  File "/usr/share/dput/http.py", line 123, in upload
    print "Upload failed: %d %d"% (res.status, res.reason)
TypeError: int argument required

Am I need to configure something to be able upload via http?
