jar file install

I've downloaded the popular 'risk' board game and extracted a bunch of files one of them being a jar file. is that the file i need to install the game? how do you run/install a jar file?

Jar files are java archives. Have a look here.

First imo you first have to install sun java. Then: java -jar <filenam>.jar
