Installer bug needs attention. Incorrectly classified?

Asked by silentpilot

I updated bug #90236 confirming that I can reproduce this. I have not seen any further acknowledgment of this bug. The bug I am referring to occurs in during the installation with the current release of Kubuntu (amd64, alternate CD), the original filer put it under the xorg category. Is the bug classified incorrectly? I am not too familiar with launchpad, how can I find where to file this bug so that the right person will see it? Thanks!

Thanks for your question.

Could you please double-check that you're indeed using the Feisty Herd 5 installation cd?

I closed the bug, since Herd 5 is no longer supported. Please get a recent iso at http://www.ubuntu.com/GetUbuntu/download.

If you're not using Herd 5 but the final version, please change the headline and reopen the bug.

Thanks for understanding!

Allright, got it. You're using the most recent kubuntu iso. As you're installer hangs at a different package, I'd like to kindly ask you to open a *new* bug at "debian-installer".

Can you help with this problem?
