Amarok Doesn´t work!?

Asked by Lawrence

I Have Amarok (the latest version) installed in Ubuntu 9.04. Firstly, I have tried reproducting mp3, m4a, and wma files on it with no joy. The see through "whilst playing" window comes up with the name of the song as though it is about to play the song and then it disapears, and doesn´t play it.

Secondly, I have put my entire Itunes library (all in mp3) into the Music folder in Ubuntu, and then checked the music folder for Amarok to scan it, and then scaned it for music (to it would import music for library), and it seems it doesn´t impor the music (doesn´t detect it).

Thirdly, whilst doing fiddling about after trying to import music in Amarok, it crashed, and came up with an error message that by memory (I am not on my computer at the moment), was titled with the words, "Fatal Error....".

Can anybody help?
