Undo "Create Partition Table" error

Asked by Ian Dinan

While trying to solve another issue, I intended to create a partition using Gparted
However, I ended up pressing "create partition table" in error and all has been wiped.
Obviously I am keen to restore my system to it's former state.
I understand that the Gparted Live CD can help here and I have downloaded it on a separate machine and burned it to disk.
I need to get this resolved quickly, but am wary of making a mistake here and destroying any chance that I might have of retrieving my information.

Does anyone know how I can go about resolving this issue.

Thanks,

Ian
