rhythmbox and aol music both stutter

I did some work today on the computer unstalling files and I think I funessed myself because both aol music and rhythmbox stuttered when I played them this evening.

can you give me some ideas how to check this out? The answer may be that I need to shut the computer off overnight and let the system take a rest.

As I thought, Kubuntu worked without the chattering heard on ubuntu and aol/rhythmbox work without stuttering or chattering, too.

Problem solved.
