UBUNTU DISAPPEARED FROM BOOTING MENU

Initially ubuntu and win XP were installed on my laptop in different partitions. Now I formatted one other partition and installed win VISTA in that. Now i m not getting an option to boot into ubuntu. The menu shows just two options. One for win XP and the other win VISTA.
Does there a solution exists for this problem? or i need to delete the partitions of ubuntu and re-install it.
Please help.
i shall be highly obliged.

kunalkakkar,

It sounds the windows install killed the grub boot loader. You should fix grub to restore access to the ubuntu partitions. Keep in mind you should always install Windows first, then Ubuntu on a dual boot system (or triple, etc.) otherwise this will reoccur.
