unable to play youtube , unable to download new softwares

i have latest firefox and latest ubuntu 9.4
i have problems regarding playing youtuve videos , when i click on em
i just can hear em ,i cant even see red strip ! i cannnot seevideo
so then ?
i have installed many flash plugins , ....
and i m unable to install softwares fm ALL/REMOVE
error comes

I had the some problems like that, and i solved it by typing in a terminal:

sudo apt-get remove swfdec-mozilla mozilla-plugin-gnash gnash flashplugin-nonfree adobe-flashplugin
sudo apt-get install mozilla-plugin-gnash gnash

i now got , i removed earler freeone software amd got new one
but now if i face any other problem ?
will i hav 2 do da same ?
can u please tell me a list ? of all these commands ? in ubuntu , i m a newbie ,here
like to remove n add new one trhu terminal ?
right after gettin tat , i will close this forum :)

Hi!

I'm a newbee too, and google is my best frind!
If i have a problem i copy/past the error message in google and i look for solved problem as mine...

If i want to install or remove programs in ubuntu, i use Synaptic:
                                      System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

in a terminal: sudo apt-get install program_name
                       sudu apt-get remove program_name

As i use ubuntu i know new commands...
