print spooler service installing for canon pixma ip90

I try to install the software for Canon IP90 printer. The installation stops with an error message: "Program cannot be continued because the print spooler service has been stopped. restart the system to start the print spoolwere service again."
But restarting does not change a thing. Somehow I have to start the service manually. But under "services" everything has been checked. What should I do?
