Edit grub list - I'm not sure

Asked by haznizul

I want to try to edit the boot sequence, from Ubuntu 7.04 to Windows XP. I've read the explaination to edit grub list over here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GrubHowto/ChangeDefaultOS. However, I afraid that I would edit it wrongly and I would not be able to boot my Ubuntu again. I like this OS very much.

Therefore, can anybody refer to my grub list as stored in my webserver: http://haznizul.googlepages.com/menu.lst

And please suggest to me which one should I change, in my case. Thank you.

Thanks for the question.

If you change the line

default 0

to

 default saved

It will always load the menu item that was used last, (if the menu item has a savedefault which is the case for your linux and windows items (not the memory test and the safe modes))

I hope this helps
