Vista partition access in Ubuntu 9.04

Asked by JakobR

Hi,

I've installed a dual boot Ubuntu 9.04 onto a Vista OS. The installation works fine and the selection of OS is also working without troubles. he problem comes when I try to reach the Vista partition to get access to my documents etc.

I think the partition is the one called "Service V002", when I select this partition it comes with this Error: "Cannot mount unit" and as details: "Cannot get volume.fstype.alternative"

I hope someone can help me to solve this problem.

Thnks Jakob

My friend JakobR you installed Ubuntu with wubi .
Is not the stable setup , not normal is virtual setup , if some time Vista have problem with partition or disks you Ubuntu not open . Please resize partition of Vista and try to setup Ubuntu normally with boot from CD/DVD , after the Normal Setup you can see you files from Ubuntu but not you files from Vista , is normal because different file systems on Win and Linux .
You cat to Download some Videos to setup normally , speak is greek but you can see and try to follow the steps of setup .
