Front pannel not responding after the switch

Asked by druff

Hey everybody, I recently switched my hp m7060n media center from windows mce to fiesty fawn. On the front of the pc there are various slots for media imports, heapdhones, mic, usb etc. Since the switch, none of the components will work. Is there something I'm missing or anyway to get these ports to work again. I've been looking through other questions and don't see anything similar to the problem.
thanks, druff

Thanks for posting that information. Are you sure USB does also not run?

Let's try to check the sound first:

1) download and run the alsa information script, located at http://www.linux-sound.info/alsa/index.php?task=scripts
Please provide it's generated pastebin url.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask druff for more information if necessary.
