how do i get movieplayer to become visible on desktop?

i wanted to minimize the movieplayer window, so i clicked on the top part of the window too fast and selected something else!! I have no idea what i did, but i tried to install movieplayer again, and it doesnt want to appear on my desktop. when i try to watch a video, all i hear is the audio, but the window for the movieplayer is nowhere to be seen!?
