How to turn off import of other VCS??

Asked by Kenneth Loafman

Project duplicity -- How do I turn off the imports from Savannah and take ownership of the SVN repository on LP itself so I can start using LP as the primary VCS?

Hi Kenneth-

URLs help a lot more than project names, to be honest. However, I've found your project and its branch. I can suspend imports on the import branch, and even delete it on request, but you'll need to point lp:duplicity (the development focus series) to a branch you can control, and then you're done. You've taken control of the project.

Unlike CVS or SVN, because Bazaar is decentralized, anyone can have "control" of a project. Things like "trunk" are purely social in nature. If I wanted to have control of duplicity, I could just branch your branch, and work on it without having to worry about the direction you're taking in your branch.

Cheers,
Paul

For the following:
lp:~vcs-imports/duplicity/trunk
lp:~vcs-imports/duplicity/webstuff

Go ahead and turn off imports and delete them. I have a local branch of
each that I can push back. I can't write to them now, so just turning
off the imports won't do it.

...Thanks,
...Ken

Still not answered... we seem to be getting some cross traffic on this question... please go ahead and do the cleanup so I can start using the project.

I have made duplicity-team the owner of the trunk and webstuff series. I no longer need the following:

lp:~vcs-imports/duplicity/trunk
lp:~vcs-imports/duplicity/webstuff

please turn off the imports and remove the two branches.

Done.

Sorry this question wasn't noticed earlier. Normally vcs-import questions should be filed against the launchpad project, not ubunut.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Kenneth Loafman for more information if necessary.
