not enough memory/ problems deleting stuff

i can't load sudo dpkg --configure -a or "sudo apt- get install" because i have no space and i can't get into the add/remove apps because ^ doesn't load

How big is your hard drive/Ubuntu's partition?

512mb i think. or i have a 4 gb solid state drive

I'm really not sure I can help you. Ubuntu is definitely not the best distro for you. You don't have enough space. Run Damn Small Linux. It fits a lot of cool apps on a 50MB cd. It's amazing.
