Is Ubuntu easier to update using dial up internet than it is to update Windows XP?

Asked by Paul

I would like to know if it is easier to update Ubuntu using dial up internet than it is to update Windows XP. Are the updates small enough to use dial up or do i need ADSL.?

some updates can be large, where that would be better for dsl....but some are small, wich would be fine for dial up......but you should switch to dsl anyways, you can get a dsl package for the same price or cheaper than dial up these days.....(lot better connection too)

Hi
You can opt for dial up if you are just trying to update certain small updates released for Ubuntu but not all. But if you are planning to upgrade the OS to a newer verision then a decent connection like ADSL is needed.

Can you help with this problem?
