Can't connect to Internet.

i have dual boot vista & ubuntu.i am able to connect net through ubuntu but unable through vista

on your vista side go to internet connections click local connection scroll down to tcip click and choose propreties then enter your ip address net mask sub net mask dns server both 1 & 2 close and you shouuld be up and running.

Or there in Vista, under David's advice, first try the automatic recognition of your network settings.
