New kernel, still no support for IT8212

Asked by Derek Turner

Mint 3.0 based on Feisty. Lengthy download of the new kernel today. Rebooted in the expectation that my RAID0+1 array would now be recognized. Very disappointed. Come on fellahs, this is something that's been left out recently. Don't compile another kernel without it. ITE PCI card IT8212. In Fedora core and Mandriva it 'just works' I surely shouldn't have to compile my own kernel (even if I knew how!).

This is a know topic, Derek, as you know: Bug #106931

I you didn't provide any question within this topic, I'm not quite sure how we are supposed to help you on the technical support tracker?
