[Ubuntu 9.04]can't load user switcher

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

since I installed kubuntu-desktop I can't load user switcher .
I tried event to add it to the pannel, I have a message to reload all the pannel but without success.

not a bug, the user switching is using the gnome login software

indeed, kdm is now the default login manager.
