Question on root system

I use IBM T43 laptop and it has a partition designed for system recovery by IBM. Usually, I press the blue button on my laptop to access that system.
After I installed Ubuntu, I can't get into IBM recovery system anymore, it says some unexpected error happened. I think it is something wrong with the partition. I didn't do anything with the partition that contains IBM recovery, but I delete all other partitions and recreate them coz I encountered some problems when resized the existing partition.
