Unable to install Ubuntu 6.06.1 i3

WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL UBUNTU 6.06.1 i3 , i am getting (timer does not work error) ALONG WITH IT TELLS ME TO USE THE (NOAPIC) OPTION. ANY IDEAS

Why don't u use an newer version of Ubuntu? There is a newer LTS version with 8.04, 6.06 will only get updates for the Desktop version till next month.

But anyhow: you can add the noapic option to the install parameter. You can also try if there is a newer version of your computer's bios.
