automatically switch wifi network?

Asked by Ariel Vardi

I'm moving very often with my laptop from my home to my school. Each location has a different wifi network obviously. Right now I have to manually change the location in the network manager to switch from one network to the other.
Isn't there any way to automate this? I'd like to be connected to the right network when I boot or wake up my laptop.

is there anything reported in /var/log/syslog when you wake your laptop at a new location? Under dapper on my system it just works.

I've switched to NetworkManager and it works fine now.
