PC freezes when installing ubunto from windows XP with wubi-7.04-test2.exe.

I'm having trouble installing ubunto from windows XP on logical drive E: with wubi-7.04-test2.exe. The PC freezes when showing the message "preparing virtual disks 33%" "Formatting system.virtual.Disk (this mayt take some time)". I have reinstalled ubunto several times but it doesn't work. What can I do?

Wubi is an unofficial installer. So I'm not sure if you'll find much help here.

I suggest you to do a regular and usual Ubuntu installation
Make a full check of your hard disk and defrag it, burn regular Ubuntu Feisty iso image and install Ubuntu from it.
