How can I get access to my vista files from ubuntu

Asked by Nikolas

Hi

I just install a dual boot between vista and ubuntu.

I am new in ubuntu so I was wondering if I could get some help (for dummies please) to access the files I've got in vista when I'm running ubuntu (9.04).

I've already try some things and the best I could do was to gain access to the hard drive, but now I want to access other folders like "my documents", "my music", "my pictures", etc.

Thank you :)

First install "gparted", "ntfs-3g" and "ntfs-config" packages
Than run gparted as root:
sudo gparted

Select your Windows partition and use "Mount" command.
To enable writing on Windows partitions use ntfs-config program:
sudo ntfs-config

More precise manuals can be googled;)

Can you help with this problem?
