Wubi may possibly fail some installations. Some minimum support is needed.

Asked by Francis Mosse

I've encountered a case where I couldn't reboot my XP machine after Wubi installation. It may not be Wubi's fault; I had messed with the partitions right before installing Wubi. A friend helped me fix the Master Boot Record and all was back to normal. However, I think there should still be some support for Wubi. I couldn't find anywhere to turn to when that machine was down. A member of CNet pointed me to this website. If you read this message, do you know where some good support for Wubi could be found?

Wubi is a great tool I feel. I could install Ubuntu and do Linux development in no time, yet I still had access to my Windows Vista files through the /host folder. That's really useful. I want more people to use Ubuntu or any environments based upon Linux. If Wubi is better supported then more people will use it and it will participate to Linux' growth.
