But no guidiance has been given on if I want to completely uninstall or REMOVE ubuntu.

Thanks.

Sorry but I'm not sure: You have installed Ubuntu using a bootable USB device on your netbook and want to remove Ubuntu again? Or Do you just want to clean your USB device? (Cause the site you linked is just about putting the image onto the USB device.)

If you like to remove Ubuntu from your netbook: Do you have a dual boot option or only Ubuntu on your laptop? If it is only Ubuntu, you have to install an other OS. Perhaps these links may help you:

Thanks Steffen,

Yes, I installed from the bootable USB flash drive I made. Yes I have dual boot option and I was able to fix the MBR using instructions here: http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p18.htm#MbrFix.exe

Please does this mean that ubuntu has been COMPLETELY removed from my system, ir tis just showing that I cannot boot to it. I want to remove it completely.

Thanks for you response and help.

Hi wisdomci,

you still have to remove the partition where ubuntu resides to remove it completely:

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/hermanzone/p18.htm#STEP_TWO

You can then reuse this partition within windows.
