x-server does not start after installation
Dear Support Team.
I have requested ubuntu server edition. After i get it by post i have installed it on dl365 g5. Installation was successefull but x-server has not been started after it.. I understand that you can ask me - why do i need X-server on servers but...
Anyway..
I tried to google my problems. I have found many sites which describes the same issues. All they write to do:
sudo apt-get update;
ant then:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
or:
sudo apt-get install xserver-
Each time it shows me an errors like: "package was not installed"
I have tried to edit /etc/apt/
Then i decided to reinstall operating system again...
Even 3 times... :)
It does not help me.
Please suggest some steps to figure out the problem. I know that its not my issue and there is no any issue in servers VGA. I have many other systems installed on it before. All they work fine. Even ubuntu with lower editions (server or desktop editions).
Best Regards.
Murad.

I have checked other answers for issues like mine. There you write to check files /etc/X11/xorg.conf
or /etc/init.d/gdm or kdm
i have not any of this files present.....
Why???
During installation i have manually checked X server and Gnome to be installed....
What is wrong? :)
Please dont say that the problems is in my DNA. :D
Best regards.
Murad Baghirov.

Hi. After i write this command it shows me an error like:
E: blah blah blah not found.
Sorry but i am not at the server right now. I will write correct phrase tomorrow. But it shows me an error.
I thought it was problem with connection but i pinged different sites.. It works.. And delays are very small.
Thanks for your reply.
Murad.

E: blah blah blah not found.
is probably
E: Package not found
This could mean, that you haven't the repos you need...
Can you please post the output of
sudo apt-get update
ping -c 5 archive.ubuntu.com
and your sources.list? Thanks

Hi Dan,
apt-key of course, sorry...
Do you know why there are so many duplicate lines in your sources.list?

Wow this shouldn't have been posted yet...
Well anyway: Can you please try to comment all lines in the sources.list and use this one instead (after macking a backup :-) ):

I've commented all deb-src and the backports for the moment and did remove medibuntu and google for the moment.
Then try again
sudo apt-get update
(and post the errors and warnings if any...)

There seems to be something pretty wrong with your connection...
What is the output of
sudo dpkg --configure -a
Does it work afterwards? If not, can you please post again your *whole* sources.list (just to make sure...) and check if there are any files in /etc/apt/
Please also post your /etc/resolv.conf
Is there any firewall or a proxie that might block some traffic? Is it possible, that your ISP is blocking something? (Especially: what is INETSRV (182.9.0.4) ?)

sudo dpkg --configure -a = finishes withou any warning.
/etc/apt/
content of /etc/resolv.conf is:
search <DOMAIN_NAME> (Sorry but I have changed domain name for safety.)
nameserver 182.9.0.2
There is a firewall but it shoud not block any sites for this computer and many others. They are servers and i asked our network administrator to allow everything for them. I would ask him again.
The output of lsb_release -a is:
