Dual boot Ubuntu9.04 Kubuntu9.04

Asked by amergermandude

I have dual booted Ubuntu 9.04 and Kubuntu 9.04 I decided that I don't like Kubuntu 9.04 and would like to return the hard drive to ubuntu 9.04 only. However I dont know how to do this without formatting the whole hard drive and losing my current Ubuntu 9.04 setup, Is it possible to erase Kubuntu and return its hard drive space to Ubuntu? I have the system disk for both can the disk for ubuntu be used to accomplish my goal?

You can always try booting up your Ubuntu 9.04 Live CD and using a tool called gparted on it. This may allow you to erase your kubuntu partition and expand your ubuntu partition to fill that space. I have heard of it being done successfully.
