how to install windows in ubuntu 8.10 installed pc

hiii ive got a new pc with ubuntu 8.10 preinstalled

as it is a fimily pc i need to even install windows xp in it .......
so i resized my ubuntu partion with the help of gparted
and started windows setup but windows set up doesnt detect any partion or free space ........

can any one please help me in this .......

You need to completely wipe out your ubuntu install and install windows first THEN install ubuntu. There is a full guide on doing this here... https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot
