Hi,

You do not give enough information to get an answer. Do you refer to this page: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GoogleEarth ? There is no "cd Downloads" command. The closest is:

cd ~/Desktop

and if your command is similar, you have made several typos: it is "cd<space><tilde><slash>Desktop". Short explanations:

* cd is the command for "change directory". A command must be followed by a space.
* the ~ character symbolises your home directory. It is equivalent to /home/yourname , if "yourname" is your user name.
* ~/Desktop or ~/Downloads are path to directories, equivalent to /home/yourname/Desktop or /home/yourname/Downloads. There cannot be spaces in path, otherwise cd interprets it as two different arguments.

When you do not understand a command and you really thing it is necessary for you to use it without understanding, you should copy and paste to avoid such problems.
