No Display while loading Hardy Heron

Hi all,

When i switch on the machine display is coming and it is showing

"Loading GRUP...." (Something like that..)

after that Ubuntu loading screen will come

and then login screen will come

for me that ubuntu loading screen is not coming..

can anybody help me in this?

Do you mean the orange progress bar with an Ubuntu logo which is displayed during boot?

If so, are you running the 64-bit version of Ubuntu? There were problems displaying that bootup screen on some 64-bit systems with Hardy. This is a very common error and you will find lots of information by Googling "ubuntu nosplash". As long as you can see the normal login screen this is not a serious problem and will not cause other errors.

You can try disabling the bootup screen from the GRUB menu as described in the workaround for that bug.
