Most Video devices like webcams and TV cards are found automatically and are made available as /dev/video* (where * ist a number starting at 0. You should try this command in the Terminal "ls -l /dev/video*". If it list anything a video device was found. You don't need to install any driver then. If not you should provide the output of "lspci" and "lsusb" so we can give you a hint.

Most Linux video software is able to use such devices directly. For example there is TV Time for watching TV on TV cards and many more. Just browse though the software repository.

Hi Thomas,

As per your instructions, I did the same thing and got the following output:

crw-rw----+ 1 root video 81, 0 2009-06-06 11:58 /dev/video0

But that is for USB Camera and not TV Tuner Card.

What is the solution for it, means how can I see TV in MythTV?

Help.

Suresh: Did you found the solution yet? If yes, help me.
