The best Notebook for Ubuntu 9.04 and up....

Asked by Rob Frerejean

Hello people,

I am looking for a new notebook. Not talking about money here.

I need one, and it MUST be able to do all this in Ubuntu 9.04 and up.....

I need to be able to ajust my CPU speed. AMD or Intel?

I need speed. Dual Core? Quad Core?

so Fast HDD, fast MEM.

I want seperate video MEM.

Need USB, Serial ( for work ), Need Wifi, LAN, and need to be able to put my SIM card in it to acces GPRS, EDGE or 3G.

I prefer PCMCIA but PCExpress is fine too.

I don´t need a large screen. I like a webcam.

I want 1000 times better as I have now. Now I have a Asus F5R Notebook. I hate this machine.

If you guys know any good ones, or have some reviews where I can look. Just give me a mail,

Thankx..

Rob

Intel, doesnt matter how many cores, doesnt matter how much memory. The graphics card is the only problem.
Your best bet is to get the integrated intel graphics.
If you want to get a computer get one from dell or system 76 with ubuntu on it they are the best ones to start on.

Hope that helps
Shane
