Asked by Richard Rudd

is there any step by step instructions for installing lightscribe that I can print out and follow, I am a total newcomer to linux but already impressed by it's features, the command line or terminal is a bit of a mystery to me, but want to learn, any help would be welcome, thanks

Download the deb from lightscribe.
http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadsection/linux/index.aspx?id=1374
Then it should open up the package manager.
Then just hit install.

Hope that helps
Shane

Open terminal.
Go to the directory of the .deb file you want to install. I presume its on the desktop.
cd Desktop
sudo dpkg -i --force-all (name of package you want to install)
That should do the job
