Driver for Lexmark X1270, driver sugested didn't work Ubunto 9.04

Asked by detav02

I have recently installed Ubunto Jaunty Jackelope 9.04 on my dell vostro 1000 and have a lexmark x1270 printer. The answer that was given was tried and did not work and was told that it was obsolete with my current system. I have been looking for this driver and have not found one yet. If there is way to send me the e-mail hyperlink to such a driver that would be great.

Thank-you

Hello, detav02. :-)

You should install these two files with the GDebian Package Installer:

http://leighm.dgtlmoon.com/misc/binaries/z600cups_1.0-2_i386.deb
http://leighm.dgtlmoon.com/misc/binaries/z600llpddk_2.0-2_i386.deb

Then, System --> Administration --> Printing, and look for a list of drivers. For the X1270, use the driver for the Z600.

I hope I've helped! Please, post your results of this here.

Best to you, and good luck.
