ubuntu can't read partition table

when it comes to partitioning times...theres only one option to use the entire disk...i already sets an ext2 and a aswap area but theres no partition are readed.....isit becoz my partitiontable is corrupted??

Could you post the results of "sudo parted -s /dev/sda print"?
