how can i safe remove my flash drive

i cannot safely remove my flash drive by using "eject" and "umount" commands

Try
sudo umount -f /path/to/drive
That should force it.

Hey Anil Kumar,

         Try this:

Right click on your Flash Drive Icon and then click on Unmount. That's the procedure to unmount a removable drive in GUI.

Its gotta work.
