have you tried (in bash shell)
sudo apt-get install -f
then
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install flashplayer
(have you added adobe to your source list??) also it only works with Browser: Firefox, Mozilla, SeaMonkey
See
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

as for 32 or 64bit you must know which version you downloaded & installed!!!!

Angie,

your ....'how do i find that out?'.... pls type in a terminal

uname -a

command - the output will tell you what's installed.

lsb_release -a

command will output installed distribution information. as far as flash player is concerned there is a package in synaptic called

flashplugin-nonfree

pls go to system --> admin --> synaptic pkge mgr, open synaptic and do a search for the above package; if not installed then just install it. or you can use

sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

hope this helps.
