You can download from the repositories to then load them offline to your Ubuntu computer:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AptGet/Offline/Repository

If you need help of where to find codecs, this page has useful information: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats - See also https://help.ubuntu.com/9.04/musicvideophotos/C/video.html - But please use free formats if you can: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/FreeFormats

Hi Kelak,
One of the methods of getting the codecs if you don't have an Internet connection in home is----
visit http://packages.ubuntu.com/ and search for a particular package ex:VLC media player.
it lists the packages available.
the package listed comes along with recommended libraries.
choose the architecture you wish to use and download the package.
then copy the file on to your HDD and double click on it. The package manager will install it for you and you are all set.

Can you help with this problem?
