Probably the Virtualbox problem https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=110882
When you click on the cog wheel on the login page and select "XOrg" instead of "Wayland", it may be better.

is it a server install (no GUI) or is there a GUI here?

Can you help with this problem?
