Start screensaver BEFORE login

Hello Earth People;
I have an old laptop that I want to repurpose instead of throwing away.
Digital picture frame for Grandma!
This would ideally: Run a slideshow screen saver (unattended) at the login prompt.
I have tried MANY resources to get a definitive solution to this. I hope there are experts here that can help me.
I thought about listing the litany methods I have tried, but that would just be tedious.
As of this date, I am using the latest release Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
OS Type: 64 bit
GNOME Ver: 42.5
Windowing system: Wayland
